What we do
Upon receipt of your referral to our services either from you or someone on your behalf, we will contact you initially to make a mutually agreed appointment time and day to discuss your families current needs. This can be a telephone appointment, home visit from one of our trained advisors or to invite you to meet us at our offices, whichever is more convenient and comfortable for you.
We will discuss with you our services, the many interventions and ways in which we may be able to assist you and the level of support it is agreed with you that you may need. We do not make judgement, we will take the time to listen and are able to move things forward at a pace which suits you. Our services are not time limited which means we can support with a short term problem as well as providing ongoing support and is bespoke to you and your family.
Our Team
Who can I expect to support my family? Below is an example of the different ways in which our team members may offer support. This is our core team which may also offer additional services from our counselling partners and therapists which includes access to play therapy, healing through art, music therapies and light sport remedies (virtual golf, pool and table football) which is all designed to offer a holistic family centred approach.
Mentor
A mentor would usually make regular contact with your child either virtually, over the phone or by meeting them during school times to implement work based around common anxieties and social pressures which our children frequently find a challenge.
Support Worker
A support worker is likely to attend school to liaise with staff and SENDCo to ensure that your child/ren's special educational needs are being met and that you are well informed of your rights as well as supporting you with benefit applications if required and access to other services. In addition, they may make regular contact with you to promote your health and wellbeing.
Senior Case Supervisor
A senior case supervisor would usually be allocated in circumstances where there are multiple professionals and services involved with your family, this can be from education, health or social care and will work alongside them to promote collaborative engagement and the bringing together and coordination of a number of disciplines in order to promote positive outcomes.
Therapeutic Support Manager
A therapeutic support manager will typically incorporate all services in a similar way to a support supervisors but are able to additionally consider the advantage of commissioning further services in order to ensure positive outcomes are reach desired objectives relating to more advanced situations of family crisis including housing and disability discriminations needs. They will meet regularly with team members to effectively ensure that the needs of our families cascade to the correct level of support they receive.
